Meet the Company: Hewlett-Packard - Registration is closed/Walk-ins are welcome

WIT’s Meet the Company Series provides an intimate setting to facilitate the relationship between WIT members and technology companies that have significant presence in the DC Metro area.  This Series is designed to provide WIT members and Small Business Owners with potential career and business opportunities and a general understanding of companies’ businesses, strategies, and cultures.

Speakers:

Stacy Sipes, Account Executive, Security and Intelligence Portfolio
Stacy Sipes is an Account Executive within HP Enterprise Services’ U.S. Public Sector Security and Intelligence Portfolio. In this role, she manages contracts with several of the nation's primary intelligence community organizations and has successfully grown business and met financial responsibilities. Sipes has leveraged her EDS experience in delivery, as a contracts administrator and business manager, to progress to positions of increasing responsibility and to effectively apply her knowledge to achieve successes for HP and clients. Sipes has a bachelor of science degree in management from George Mason University.

Trudy McKnight, Executive Director, Small Business Partnership Programs, U.S. Public Sector
Trudy McKnight is Executive Director of the Small Business Partnership Programs for the HP Enterprise Services U.S. Public Sector. In this role, she develops and executes the organization’s Small Business Strategy, which includes achievement of small-business goals; supporting small-business set-aside opportunities; participation in government-sponsored Mentor Protégé Programs; and identification and development of strategic partnerships. McKnight’s strategy focuses on supporting the small-business initiatives of our government clients; mentoring small businesses for growth and increased competitiveness; and revenue generation. As an information technology leader for 30 years, McKnight has diverse experience ranging from strategy development and execution, complete engineering project development to project and account management and overseeing large-scale, complex and multi-task contracts. McKnight received her bachelor of science degree in sociology from Virginia Polytechnical Institute. In 2001, she received the Women of Color in Technology Award for Managerial Leadership.                 

Terry Palmberg, VP, Consulting, US Public Sector
Terry Palmberg is VP, Consulting, for the U.S. Public Sector at HP. Consulting drives business and technical consulting services for federal, state, and local government.  In addition, Mr. Palmberg served as HP’s executive responsible for integrating the acquired EDS Corporation and HP Public Sector services businesses. Previously at HP, Mr. Palmberg was Vice President and General Manager of the Americas (U.S., Canada, Latin America) Consulting and Integration business.  He led an organization of over 4,000 employees to help customers with their IT Infrastructure, Applications, Business Intelligence, and multi-vendor technology environments. Prior to HP, Mr. Palmberg was CEO and President of Rainier Technology, serving as Group Vice President for Central U.S. Oracle Consulting business. In the early 1990s, Mr. Palmberg developed a successful professional services business for Tandem Computers. He started his career in a variety of product development, data center management, and business development and sales positions with firms in manufacturing, energy, and healthcare, including Rockwell International and Planmetrics. Mr. Palmberg earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.

FROM INTERSTATE 495:

1. From Interstate 495, exit onto Route 267* (exit 45A) Dulles Toll Road
2. From Route 267, exit onto Sully Road - Route 28 South (exit 9A-Centreville/Herndon) -- last exit before Dulles Airport
3. From Route 28 South, exit to the right onto Rt. 668/McLearen Road
4. From McLearen Road, make the first right onto EDS Drive
5. Turn right into 13600 EDS Drive. Stop at the visitor’s entrance where security will admit you. Drive straight ahead and follow the signs to the visitor parking area in the front of the building

FROM ROUTE 66:

1. From I-66, exit onto Sully Road - Route 28 North towards Dulles Airport
2. From Route 28 North, make a right turn onto Rt. 668/McLearen Road
3. From McLearen Road, make the first right onto EDS Drive
4. Turn right into 13600 EDS Drive. Stop at the visitor’s entrance where security will admit you. Drive straight ahead and follow the signs to the visitor parking area in the front of the building
